Overview
Zippy from Ocean Ambassadors brought up the goal of implementing a BrightID registry for the Ambassadors
DAO, and make it sybil resistant.
By leveraging the existing BrightID registry, new participants to Ambassador’s program, would also benefit from the benefits of QF.
Other contributors, builders, and Ocean Ecosystem participants take note.
These are highly-engaged participants.
Our goal is to support another 500 participants.
On top of our original 200, bringing the total to 700.
BrightID Details
For QF to work, we buy 1 sponsorship from BrightID to facilitate user verification.
Our community could do this for free, but it’s more effort than I believe anyone is willing to do.
It’s a high coordination process that I believe very few are willing to do.
I originally purchased 200 sponsorships for our BrightID registry.
I propose that we open up funding for another 500 sponsorships.
1 sponsorship costs 1 DAI which is equivalent to 1 USD
We’ll buy as many BrightID sponsorships as we can with the funds earned.
We’ll attempt to cover base expenses (txs & bridges) by previous, personal funding.

Value Add Criteria
Usage of Ocean - This project leverages existing functionality and infrastructure to onboard new participants and enrich the ecosystem
Viability - The Nile team has been supporting the BrightID integration, and can easily handle the technical side. The Ambassadors are one of the longest standing community teams building. Anyone else that wants to enrich OceanDAO could expand and build on this.
Community Engagement - This proposal is designed to onboard more engaged participants and it would be implemented by core contributors.
Community Value - This project helps onboard more voters, expands exiting SubDAOs, and enables a pool of benefits to be generated, by a simple action.
