Project Description
With this grant we will achieve our next milestone of setting up a corporate identity for our data-collecting-plattform and start to set up the architecture for it. The general idea is: By creating a network of a great number of private individuals who are willing to sell their own data, a market model is created that adds value to Ocean market.
Final Product
Creating a platform to build datapools which contain the data of private individuals, who are willing to grant permission to this data via Ocean Protocol’s compute-to-data in exchange for a financial compensation. Using the existing infrastructure of DataUnion Foundation ensures the compatibility of the collected data for the use of third-party algorithms.

Proposal One Liner
Creating a platform to build datapools which contain the data gathered from social media platforms of private individuals, who are willing to grant permission to this data via Ocean Protocol’s compute-to-data in exchange for a financial compensation.
Proposal Description
By aggregating as much data as possible from individuals, who are willing to sell access to this data a high value offer is made available on the Ocean market. This leads to an increase in the attractiveness for data suppliers as well as entities that are willing to purchase access to data sets for a fee; This leads to a positive effect on the transaction amount for Ocean market and an associated increase in the volume of sales.

Results: We found > 20 potential lead-customers interested in testing our product for a web 2/3 hybrid market research tool.
Perspective: With our product a significant amount of potential new customers from a company side will start using ocean market and by this increase
Cooperations for API connection to Apps: We found 3 apps willing to collaborate in this field. But as the API connection is not highly prioritized, we stopped making approaches for that topic. We are expecting platform apps reaching out to us, as soon as we have some community growth
Additional deliverables this month :
- Found a way to add additional value to the datasets by connecting web 2 & 3 research tools
- Signed partner agreement with DataUnion and started to plan the timeplan for development of the app & data-portal
- Team is taking part in OCEAN DAO townhall meetings and is now member of the OCEAN Ambassador program and actively working on tasks from the activity farming
- Wrote down the philosophy of WeDataNation to prepare upcoming interviews, videos and other presenations in public- Established working group for our Data-Trust-DAO structure with 3 respected external advisors
- Finished research on potential EU-grant programs for data based startups
- Received invitation for first pitch to win addional advisors @12.april
Value Add Criteria
Usage of Ocean Protocol:
We will add a significant data-consume volume to the network through finding a lot of lead-customers whose only way to analyze the data we provide is to purchase access rights via the ocean protocol
Viability very likely through four aspects:
- Partnership and support with know how, infrastructure and development power of DataUnion Foundation
- Chance of funding through the current participation in the final round of the Blockchain-Founders-Group “Superstars” accelerator program
- Broad connected ecosystem inside the financial & startup branch, through 7 years of background from our CEO.
- Worldwide networking through Blockchain-Founders-Group
Community active-ness:
Our technical advisor Robin Lehman (CEO & CTO - DataUnion Foundation) is a member of the DAO for many years. Our CEO Henry Griesbach and Raphael Hagemann as part from the WeDataNAtion core team actively take part in upcoming Ocean DAO events to support the community and establish more connections inside of this great project. Both are part of the ambassador programm and do tasks from the activity farming.
Adding value to the overall community:
By establishing an easy way for private individuals to join a pool for selling their data the overall awareness of Ocean Protocol will rise. In addition the need for algorithmic programmers will rise, as this task becomes a significant factor to connect collected data to potential buyers via insights created from the data.
