Proposal Description

At OPAP our objective is to onboard the next wave of Web3 talents and provide continuous support to the growth and adoption of Ocean Protocol worldwide.

What we been doing since the last proposal has been submitted:

Partnering with Ocean Missions in delivering quality Podcasts
Collaborating with other OceanDAO grantees such as OnBoard
Collaborating with members of the OceanDAO ecosystem such as Nordic PowerHouse
Partnering with New Order DAO to help them amplify their products and produce content
Recruiting more content creators, including from the Navy…
Partnering with Rep3.gg to provide utility membership NFTs for each Ambassador
Partnering with OPF to spotlight and educate OceanDAO projects for the community and the Web3 ecosystem at large.
Partnering with OPF to bring the Ocean community together, through discord engagement, community jams and more…
Helping OceanDAO grantees with testing their releases

With many ambassadors from across the globe, we want to continuing taking the necessary steps to create a community-led program, of world class standards to allow Ocean to compete for talent in the competitive Web3 space.

We publish our Outreach activities publicly, and metrics such as Twitter Engagement, Impressions are shared on our Notion page openly.

With the sunset of the OceanDAO in its current form, and the pivot towards the Data De-Fi ecosystem, the Ambassador program is not currently staffed and tooled to deliver value for OPF and the ecosystem going forward. We are working on changing this and recruiting new profiles and builders to support the wider Ocean ecosystem

Grant Deliverables

Recruitment of Data De-Fi focused content creators
Recruitment of Data De-Fi builders
Targeted outreach on LinkedIn (we already have a profile to work on this)
New ideation sessions between Ambassadors, Ocean builders and those who are curious about the Ocean stack
Target recruitment activities for builders, with bounties attached for the builder and recruiter
Targeted outreach sessions for Data Scientists and those adjacent to the space
Continuation of our social media outreach program (which has been growing consistently each month)
New bounties for Ocean newcomers to encourage a deepening of their knowledge, with more weight given to builders

Project Description

Project Flagship marks a key step in the decentralization of Ocean Protocol: the Ocean Ambassador program (OPAP) will get its funding from OceanDAO going forward.

At OPAP our objective is to onboard the next wave of Web3 talents and provide continuous support to the growth and adoption of Ocean Protocol worldwide.

Final Product

A top class Ambassador program for Ocean Protocol, incorporating the top talents amongst the most engaged community members in the ecosystem.

Leveraging the talents of a global pool of people to contribute to Outreach efforts for Ocean Protocol.

Value Add Criteria

The Ocean Ambassadors have and will continue to represent the evolving structure of the greater Ocean ecosystem. We strive to further advance literacy and implementation of Ocean Protocol to those interested in the decentralized data sharing economy by recruiting, supporting and retaining talent to advance this objective.

The Ambassadors succeed in building trust and bridges across the Ocean ecosystem and the wider Crypto metaverse, by upholding values of:

We give all newcomers to the ecosystem opportunities to hone their skills, from OPAP DAO creation, to project management, to multi media experiences. Our philosophy is to allow the most diverse group of Ambassadors to share value with the community at large, and not gate keep.
