HealthClaims - a real time digital verification health record on OCEAN

Name of Project

HealthClaims - a real-time digital verification health record on OCEAN.

Proposal in one sentence:

An Intelligent Healthcare Platform that would eliminate medical prescription and insurance claim fraud with real-time digital verifications on chains.

Description of the project and what problem is it solving:

A web and mobile platform dedicated to building a decentralized marketplace and digital identity for users’ health records by leveraging blockchain technology thereby eliminating medical prescription and insurance claims fraud.

Grant Deliverables: (Provide us with a check-boxed list of deliverables for the funding provided.)

  • Complete redesign of the product brand manual.

  • Model the user journey and application flow from A-Z

  • Start and complete the product design for the web pages.

  • Start and complete the product design for the mobile app.

Which category best describes your project? Pick one.

Build / improve applications or integrations to Ocean.

Which Fundamental Metric best describes your project? Pick one.

Data Consume Volume.

What is the final product?:

Our final product is a multi-talent web-based app that will be hosted on www.healthclaims.tech (under construction) and a mobile application where we can verify user’s digital identity in real-time when accessing health care services with their chosen providers (hospitals), the medical health data and visitations will be stored on the blockchain, accessed and monitored within a unified viewing environment. From the medical records and claims stored, we give you access to all of your reporting and analytics under one platform on-demand, making it easier and efficient for all medical stakeholders. We can finally remove the fraudulent claims.

Question on “value add” criteria: which one or more of the criteria will your project focus on? Why do you believe your team will do well on those criteria?.

While we are trying to mitigate fraud by health management organizations and related parties, we figure the best way for us is to store and verify the identities, and store the medical records (i.e visitations) on-chain, so they are immutable and can be verified during claims generation, the storing of medical record data on-chain goes inline with ocean protocol mission where data can be easily accessed by people who need them at a set price and the data owner will also get a percentage, we will implement this through our forked version of ocean marketplace, this will increase ocean protocol use case and add value. As regards community activity, we are new here and we will be needing all the support we can get from the community as well as provide support when we can.

Part 3 - Proposal Details (*Recommended)

Details of the proposal:

Our product is a multi-talent web-based app that will be hosted on www.healthclaims.tech (under construction) and a mobile application where we can verify user’s digital identity in real-time when accessing health care services with their chosen providers (hospitals), the medical health data and visitations will be stored on the blockchain, accessed and monitored within a unified viewing environment. From the medical records and claims stored, we give you access to all of your reporting and analytics under one platform on-demand, making it easier and efficient for all medical stakeholders. We can finally remove the fraudulent claims.

We have a hospital software that has been used locally in all of our clients’ hospitals, this hospital software works offline, and once every two weeks, it syncs the local record to the online API, so we can have a single source of truth for all the health records.

We partner with Osun State Nigeria (health insurance scheme) to facilitate the onboarding of the government works into a unified health management service whereby a subset of their salary will be removed, then they and their dependents can get health services.

The major problem arise when we noticed a lot of fail / fraudulent claims, and inconsistencies in the patient visitations, we started making our research to solve this problem parmanently and also look at a way we can generate revenue both for the patient, the providers (hospitals) while making good use of the health records. Thereby leading us to blockchain digital verification and storage, OCEAN, and OCEAN Marketplace, which all sound cool to us.

Hello @tope_medclaims,

Please notice that we are updating the funding process for R13 and there are important things for you to know. We will be deploying an update to the Ocean Website, where you will be able to claim your grant on your own time.
Funding the smart contract may take ~2 days after Voting Ends. There will still be a funding deadline of 2 weeks to claim your grant.
You will need a web3 wallet + Airtable to complete the process. Grant requests via request.finance will be deprecated.

You can find all instructions here: https://github.com/oceanprotocol/oceandao/wiki/Request-Grant-Guidelines
You will have until January 10th to update your proposal with all required fields.

Please let us know if you experience any issues or bugs. You can also submit tickets to Github and ping us inside of ocean-dao-engineering for any help. Thank you!

Hello @tope_medclaims,

As part of the Project Guiding - Working Group [PG-WG], We would like to congratulate on your sustained interest in the OceanDAO and for winning the R13 grant.

We also encourage you and your team to be part of our PG-WG Guiding group as an Attendee as well as being part of guiding the newcomers of PG-WG and OceanDAO. Say hello to us at https://discord.gg/kujC2QK9 #Project-Guiding and refer to the pinned messages to find more information regarding the WG.

Project submitted deliverables:

Based on the deliverables outline:

  • Complete redesign of the product brand manual.
  • Model the user journey and application flow from A-Z
  • Start and complete the product design for the web pages.
  • Start and complete the product design for the mobile app.

We have been able to complete the redesign of the product manual, the link can be found here

Since we spent more time on the product brand manual and we do not have an internal product designer, the funding finished to keep our product designer working, so we pivoted to build the WEB API, since we have that person internally in the team, so technically, we replaced user journey, web pages design and mobile app design by building the API, Here is the link to API endpoints.

We will move the User journey, web, and mobile product design to the next funding round, thank you so much.

@idiom-bytes @drprk, please I submitted my proposal but was unable to put the actual amount that I want to get funded which is 8000 USD, and also, I was unable to pick the right earmark, which should be the second and third earmark. For now, I submitted a new proposal using the new entrance as well as limited the amount to 3000 USD so that the proposal can go through before the deadline, please help me upgrade the amount and put the right earmark which is the Second and Third Earmark category, because we were voted YES and won only once. This is the second time we are applying.

Hey Zoawe, thank you for reaching out! I only this message now.

Point being is that your deliverables have to be accepted before you can submit a new proposal, as you stated.

Therefore you cannot simply create a new project with 2.0, as you are the same team and builders behind it - with the same project.

We are checking your deliverables right now.

Not having been able to select the 2nd/3rd Earmark might be related to the deliverables of your previous proposal not having been greenlighted.

Admin:

Hi,

thank you for submitting an update for your previous proposal! Your Grant Deliverables have been reviewed.

On first sight it might look counter-intuitive to move as many items as you did towards the next round, but your explanation makes sense to us, and the endpoints and the product manual CI/guide look like good work.

That’s why we believe, also supporting young and upcoming projects, that you shall be able to submit another proposal, and you are now.

We would like to thank you for your positive contributions to the Ocean Ecosystem and I look forward to reviewing future proposals from your project.

All the best!
Your OceanDAO Team

PS:
Please submit your 2nd proposal for this project - and withdraw your new one (HealthClaims 2.0), if you still find the time. Thx!

In general: submitting 1 or 2 days before voting period ends will give us more time to review deliverable updates, hence improving the experience for you.

Cheers!

Please I tried submitting my proposal but it is showing round 18 and it is still showing as NEW ENTRANCE.
