De-Fi Front end for consuming trading algorithms on Ocean Market | De-Fi Front end for consuming trading algorithms on Ocean Market | Round 23

Project Name

De-Fi Front end for consuming trading algorithms on Ocean Market

Project Category

Build & Integrate

Proposal Earmark

New Entrants

Proposal Description

With the pivot towards De-Fi and finance related Data, the Ocean Market will be targeting Data Scientists and others that wish to monetise trading algorithms.

There are many people in Web3 that would be interested in consuming these products, however the technical barriers for them to use these scripts once they have purchased them from Ocean Market are many and varied.

What we would like to do is to allow people to supply assets, and then run the algorithms that they have purchased from Ocean Market via a simple web based portal.

Grant Deliverables

A Proof of Concept(PoC)/Prototype to show that a simple web based UI can be built for the Ocean Marketplace.

The PoC should allow a user to supply assets required by the Algorithm on Ocean Marketplace, and run the Algorithm during a specified timeframe. The user should then be able to withdraw the assets back into their wallet.

Simply put, the workflow will initiate a purchase of an Algorithm from Ocean Marketplace, then allow the user to exploit this Algorithm from a web based interface.

Final Product

A simple web based UI for consuming trading algorithms sold on the Ocean Marketplace

Value Add Criteria

We wish to lower the barrier for entry to regular users that wish to consume products from the Ocean Marketplace. At the moment, anyone who wishes to use a product from the marketplace needs a high level of technical competency in order to consume the product. Algorithms are no exception.

By allowing regular people who know how to use a regular Ethereum wallet to exploit Algorithms sold via the Ocean Marketplace, we will increase the potential audience and be a driver of consumption for Ocean Protocol.

We also commit to returning funds to the DAO if we are unable to build the PoC.

Budget and Timeline

$3000 to fund development and project management.

First $1000 to be disbursed on receipt of the grant, with the remaining funds to be disbursed only on completion of a PoC/Prototype.

Hard limit of 6 months to complete the work, after which a working product will be submitted or $2000 returned to OceanDAO, along with a lessons learned report for the Community.

Background and Competencies:

43yrs old dev- and sysop, started coding on the C128+C64 in the age of 10.

Love all sorts of computers and periphery ever since, very data affine, analytic and abstract mind.

Also very addicted to mathematical functions and their visualisations, like fractal geometry.
