Project Description

With this grant we will achieve our next milestone to program the first upload & import functions of the database. With that information it will be possible to create first insights to intense outreach to potential B2B partners.Additionally we will start programming our Web3-Information-Scraping project.

Final Product

Creating a platform to build datapools which contain the data of private individuals, who are willing to grant permission to this data via Ocean Protocol’s compute-to-data in exchange for a financial compensation. Using the existing infrastructure of DataUnion Foundation ensures the compatibility of the collected data for the use of third-party algorithms.

Creating a platform to build datapools which contain the data gathered from social media platforms of private individuals, who are willing to grant permission to this data via Ocean Protocol’s compute-to-data in exchange for a financial compensation.

Proposal Description

By aggregating as much data as possible from individuals, who are willing to sell access to this data a high value offer is made available on the Ocean market. This leads to an increase in the attractiveness for data suppliers as well as entities that are willing to purchase access to data sets for a fee; This leads to a positive effect on the transaction amount for Ocean market and an associated increase in the volume of sales.

Usage of Ocean Protocol:

We will add a significant data-consume volume to the network through finding a lot of lead-customers whose only way to analyze the data we provide is to purchase access rights via the ocean protocol



Viability very likely through four aspects:

  • Partnership and support with know how, infrastructure and development power of DataUnion Foundation
  • Chance of funding through the current participation in the final round of the Blockchain-Founders-Group “Superstars” accelerator program
  • Broad connected ecosystem inside the financial & startup branch, through 7 years of background from our CEO.

Community active-ness:

Our technical advisor Robin Lehman (CEO & CTO - DataUnion Foundation) is a member of the DAO for many years. Our CEO Henry Griesbach and Raphael Hagemann as part of the WeDataNation core team actively take part in upcoming Ocean DAO events to support the community and establish more connections inside of this great project. Both are part of the ambassador program and do tasks of the activity farming.



Adding value to the overall community:

By establishing an easy way for private individuals to join a pool for selling their data the overall awareness of Ocean Protocol will rise. In addition the need for algorithmic programmers will rise, as this task becomes a significant factor to connect collected data to potential buyers via insights created from the data.

Can you please define your project category as well? It seems like the value add is for build & integrate, but the deliverables are for outreach.

Hi Christian,

thanks for your support and questions on our proposal.

At the moment we are working on our first version of the app + connection to the backend.

As our main focus is on building an easy-to-use app for the utilisation of personal data through ocean market we decided to apply for the build+integrate. But as we see the perfect mixture by going for 50% marketing/investor communication + 50% developement it`s some kind of a discretionary decision here.

I would say outreach is a needed purpose to promote the app, that is our main goal.

Point 1-4 : Thanks for that advice. We are already connected to the Ocean community in discord, doing work for OPAP and taking part in weekly meetings :heart:

Our twitter survey is only one proof, of our attempt to get as much market insights as possible, from which the whole community will benefit (here).

Each week we are receiving private advisory sessions from Prof. Dr. Philipp Sandner, Germany`s most valued Professor in the blockchain space and part of the Board of Directors of the Blockchain Founders Group to improve our business strategy. SupraX is an inhouse Accelerator Project of SupraOracles and as soon as we launch our beta there will be another meeting to showcase our product and see if there is a final fit. If we manage to achieve a positive answer here, we will be the first Ocean Market based Startup finding home within a company, backed by Mastercard (read here) and worth more, than the market cap of all $Ocean combined.
