Please include the basic ROI calculation. Otherwise I see absolutely no reason why this impressive piece of work should not be funded.

Dear team,

Clearly the team are well qualified to perform this technical translation work and so there is no doubt in their capacity to meet these milestones. Secondly, clearly the team has carefully considered a list of both electronic media and youtube that is ready for such translations - this is clearly setout.

I have a few questions for the team:

Q1. Recently it has been studied that 51% of the population in Greece speaks English fluently (https://howwidelyspoken.com/how-widely-spoken-english-greece/) and with the strong Greek population in the UK at the university system (perhaps will change with BREXIT) but I would have thought the demographic that is most active in Crypto and ML and therefore would engage with Ocean - under 50s and professionals would already be strong or proficient enough in English to read these articles in English?

Can you please explain your perspective on this and I am happy to be wrong on this point above if you have a strong market for this translated material.

best
ResilientML.

Dear Gareth,

A1. Most of the Greek population speaks English at a moderate level.

The average Greek’s knowledge of English is limited to vocabulary mainly related to the tourism sector.

Specialization in technical and financial texts is rare and is mainly found among those who choose to study and live abroad or who are professionally involved in the subject.

We believe that a Greek community and texts translated into Greek will create a more familiar environment for Greeks and in this way they are more likely to engage with the project.

Hello and thank you for your uplifting words

Would the following suffice?

Bang (Value Added): 20,000
Buck (Grant): 10,000
% (Chance of Success): 80%
= x1.6

Bang (Value Added): (Website Visitors + Facebook Followers + Twitter Followers) / 3

If not, could you help us a bit?

I am currently not able to assist you with this (i am more than booked out) and I recommend to discuss this with the community as this is a vital part of each proposal and you really need to elaborate how you come to these numbers.

Updated to include the following:

ROI:

  • Bang (Value Added) : 20,000
  • Buck (Grant) : $10,000
  • % (Chance of Success) : 80%
    = x1.6

Bang (Value Added) is measured with the following formula: (Website Visitors + Facebook Followers + Twitter Followers) / 3

Buck (Grant) Pricing:

  • Articles : 37457 Words * $0.15 = $5,619
  • English Subtitles : 15757 Words * $0.10 = $1,575
  • Greek Subtitles : 15757 Words *0.15 = $2,363

Total : $9,557

A round-up to $10,000 including social media management and marketing.

Hey there!

Its the mPowered team, we just published a DAO proposal (Round 10) to provide the ability of the Ocean Marketplace to support multi-languages. I know you are translating reference documents to Greek but if you are interested in translating the marketplace please let us know. We can help you out. We are building it so that non-developers can easily translate the entire Marketplace to any language using a JSON file. If our DAO is approved we will provide detailed examples, documentation, and support on how to do it. Also all of the code is open source and free to use.

Thanks!

Hello,

We are available for collaboration, that’s an interesting idea. When it’s ready we can translate the marketplace to Greek.

Great!

we only do open-source DAOs to help build tooling and help expand the marketplace. Not sure if you are developers but it will be very easy to integrate, a simple JSON file and voila, your marketplace will be in Greek. We can also add a “Documentation” tab on the menu top menu bar for you and you can put all of your translated references there to make it easier for your Greek community to find documents that you translated in your DAO (Round 9).

if we get approved, we will start right away and we should be done in 7 weeks. please look at our proposal for deliverable dates and we can reach out then once we are close to finishing and help you if you are interested.

thanks

mPowered

I haven’t done research on that…

We are interested. We can translated JSON files.

Awesome, if we get approved for this round we will reach out once we are done with our deliverables (we estimate 7 weeks) and then we will help you out. it will be really easy to do and we can also add a “Documentation” tab so you can place of all your documented material there.

regards
