DATAPOGY - Ready access to “Diagnostic Quality Medical Data” when and where they are needed

Name of Project:

DATAPOGY - Ready access to “Diagnostic Quality Medical Data” when and where they are needed

Proposal in one sentence:

We help locate and retrieve medical records, images and diagnostic reports, deliver them in a consistent and organized way and monetize the whole process for the owners of the data.

Description of the project and what problem is it solving:

Problems

  • Data Interoperability: in order for data to become very useful, it needs to yield consistent meaning and be shared and transferred among people, organizations and systems. As of today, sharing complete medical records and integrating different medical data management systems is an ongoing challenge because of the lack of standardized frameworks which leads to different stakeholders using different protocols and systems.

  • Healthcare providers, payers and patient network communities all collect data, but unifying the information involves certain challenges. Data duplication may arise, which results in inaccurate and incomplete health care member profiles with little insight into a patient’s well-being.

  • Data Security – Data security is a major concern for any business, particularly the healthcare industry. During each movement from one repository to another, data could be compromised. With the increasing number of cyber attacks, data breaches and invasion of private personal data, organizations must recognize the new and evolving international privacy and security regulations.

  • Fragmented Data – Data collection and aggregation communities are fragmented, making the extraction and integration of data a real challenge.

  • Changes to Data and Quality – Healthcare data changes constantly. Dirty data – characterized by incompleteness, invalidity, inaccuracy, duplication and non-standardization – can lead to medical mistakes that directly affect patients’ well-being and safety, damaging healthcare providers’ reputation and leading to costly lawsuits.

  • Lack of reward systems - Although information is anonymized, data miners and brokers can build up detailed dossiers on individual patients by cross-referencing with other sources. This removes the patient from the picture and gives all the rights to the companies in possession of the data.

Solution

  • Datapogy Technologies is on a mission of making medical imaging truly interoperable with all other health record systems on the Blockchain - off-chain and on-chain. We are pioneering this solution using our permissionless, proprietary image-enabled capturing and annotation systems.

  • Our goal for Datapogy is to allow radiologists, cardiologists, physicians, and other key care providers across the platform to access medical records & images they need from all connected locations (partners) with a single click. We make it possible to ingrate medical records from hospitals, imaging centers, private and public primary health care and clinics.

  • Patients can also choose to share their medical records (or part of their medical records) with researchers and set time limits on how long any third party can have access to their medical information.

  • We auto-transform data from our systems into digestible reports across member engagement, claims utilization, and more. Rather than trying to translate different data sets at different times in different formats, we give you a single source of truth for all medical stakeholders. Transforming an extraordinary amount of data into rich and meaningful insights.

  • Our streamlined workflow options are available to enhance how providers can retrieve and access images, based on their specific workflow needs.

  • By using our DeFi data sharing rewards systems, medical institutions and research institutions can receive immediate, validated confirmation of their health data from patients, without the time and cost of an intermediary while patients on the other hand get incentives for sharing their record.

  • Unleash Data - Integrations to data services

Which Fundamental Metric best describes your project? Pick one.

  • Data Consume Volume

What is the final product?

  • We are building an interoperable system where health data can be stored, accessed and monitored on and off chain via web apps and dedicated platform apps. All this information, records and images will be accessible within a unified viewing environment, in full diagnostic quality, when and where needed.

  • From your claims, records and data stores – we give you access to all of your reporting and analytics under one platform on-demand, making it easier and efficient for all medical stakeholders.

  • Users can decide to filter the amount and type of information to be made public and set how much to be paid for such data, these data centers can be used to offset medical bills in future at discounts or cashed out instantly for their monetary gains.

  • Datapogy is a web based app www.datapogy.com , with dedicated platform and cross platform apps on App Store, Playstore. We intend to build or document our enterprise API that will be used by government, research institutions and hospitals for health data needs.

How does this project drive value to the “fundamental metric” (listed above) and the overall Ocean ecosystem? This is best expressed as Expected ROI, details here.

The global big data analytics in healthcare market size was valued at $16.87 billion in 2017, and is projected to reach $67.82 billion by 2025, growing at a CAGR of 19.1% from 2018 to 2025.

Our primary metric for datapogy is: “$ Data Token Consuming Volume”

  • BANG = 0.15%*(10,450,000 / months * 12 months) = 188, 100 OCEANS (this is a conservative estimation as it constitutes less than 0.2% of the available market size.

  • BUCK = GRANT AMOUNT = 20K USD = 27, 465 OCEANS

  • RÓI = BANG / BUCK * PERCENTAGE SUCCESS (55%) = 3.8

Hello guys at Datapogy,

I liked the look of your proposal, I come from the domain myself. However I would have liked some more due diligence in the field. We can trust you guys to do the same if you guys win the vote counts. The project definitely required long-term sustainability if you guys are serious and form an efficient team to execute this.

Some feedback:

  • The framework looks fine, although I would like to see some more details on how you guys plan to carry this out.

  • Looking at your solution for Datapogy, are you guys planning to implement your own Blockchain mechanisms or rely on Compute2data within the Ocean ecosystem? Any roadmap to ensure cross-chain functionality?

  • Any plans to create your own Data token?

  • Could I have some more brief about the prior work done so far? I see that the functionalities are mostly yet to be built, have you guys connected with any existing stakeholders so far who would help you with respect to providing Healthdata

Regardless of the voting process, I will be happy to brainstorm with you guys. If you need some outreach help from Indian Ocean team. Feel free to check our proposal at the below link

I deal with Healthcare data and MedTech AI products in Bangalore, India and If you need any relevant individual expertise, we can get on a no-expectation call initially and explore some synergy. You can reach out to me on my discord (Prk2help #1527) or Email me at drprakash@ieee.org.

Thank you so much @drprk for the kind comment and feedbacks, means a lot to us. We will address your feedbacks/questions one after the other:

  • We are currently working on our strategic product dev roadmap and of course some technical requirements (backend architecture and flows), but these are details we will share with the community as we continue to build. We are happy to also share this with you personally once it is ready.

  • At the moment, our plan is solely on Compute2Data within the ocean ecosystem, but blockchain interoperability is something we are quite keen on and over the coming months we will explore how we can best approach this requirement.

  • We might look at having our own data token, but for now we think we are not there yet, and it is something we will consider in the future, especially as we get the right team completely set up, which we are also still working on.

  • Yes, so we have been in initial talks with some health care providers here in the UK and we will be sharing some of those updates soon, some are still confidential though. Also, through the network of my cofounder, who is a registered Nurse at Queen Elizabeth Hospital NHS Trust, we have had quite a few introductions with hospitals and medical schools in the UK. Additionally, there has been work done in getting the Product design (UI/UX) started while the backend engineer is currently architecting the database. (This way, we can easily allow patient directly upload their health data as soon as possible).

We shall reach out to you on discord in due time to brainstorm, and probably get on calls, as your experience in Healthcare data and MedTech can come in handy. We also wish you luck in your Indian Ocean Program proposal. :clap:t3:
